Tami Manton, owner of Group Tix & Tours (formerly known as Group Theater Tix) created and continues to operate the group sales business for Chicago’s Apollo Theater. After successfully building the Apollo’s group sales department in 2001, Tami Manton expanded her business  and opened the doors to her own groups sales business in 2003.  GroupTix & Tours (formerly dba Group Theater Tix) has successfully sold groups for the hit shows, Million Dollar Quartet, Menopause The Musical, The Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, The Joffrey Ballet’s Nutcracker, Old Jews Telling Jokes, Dreamgirls, A Christmas Story, The Musical, In The Heights, Dixie’s Tupperware Party, The Color Purple, Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh; The Odd Couple, The Female Version, starring Barbara Eden; If you Ever Leave Me, I’m Going with you, starring Joe Bologna and Renee Taylor; Eve Ensler’s, The Vagina Monologues, Leaving Iowa, Altar Boyz, Church Basement Ladies, Forbidden Broadway and more.

Additionally, Group Tix & Tours has sold groups for many Chicagoland venues, including Centre East, The Mercury Theater, Stage 773, The Royal George Theater, Water Tower Place Theater, and the North Shore Center for The Performing Arts in Skokie. Group sales clients also include: Porchlight Music Theatre, The Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Sitcom, Nuns4Fun Entertainment, BoHo Theatre Company, Chicago Dramatists and more. NEW IN 2023

In response to the pandemic and groups looking for more experiences, Group Tix & Tours began to expand our operations beyond theater sales and opened the doors to our new tour division, offering a wide range of tour packages and experiences for Chicagoland and Milwaukee. This year, we will partnering with our friends at Happy Times Tours and Experiences to open our new company, Distinctively Detroit Tours, offering unique tours in the Motor City that have never before been offered.

On the Production side: In addition to sharing our 20 year experience and expertise in the group sales arena, when you hire us, we become part of your production team, providing group sales marketing and promotional services, including, but not limited to social media, email marketing and creation of promotional events. We attend a minimum of 4 trade shows per year and create and execute marketing forums or FAM’s (familiarization tours) regularly.
